STYLECOACHING

I love this shoot with Edita Vilkeviciute, photographed by Steven Lyon. It is clear that a distinct chemistry between artist and muse is evident. I love every single shot because of its purity and honesty.  Lyon is a fashion and fine-art photographer who has just relocated from Paris to New York, and his pictures are known for their sensuality and edgyness and cinematic feel. While almost everyone switches to digital, Lyon firmly believes that there’s a realism lost in the digital technology of the imagery. He is a lover of the old-school cinematic style and that's why he takes his medium- and large-format cameras to every shoot. I think this is the main reason he's one of my favourite photographers: his pictures scream sexyness but are still raw, tasteful and artistic fashion shots. And which better model to choose then the effortless elegant misses Vilkeviciute?
